Sportzworkz renews contracts with 3 broadcasters

Television production company Sportzworkz has renewed contracts with ESPN Star Sports (ESS), Times Now and Zee News.

For the IPL, Sportzworkz claims to have doubled its clientele. The management is hoping that when they go out to the market for the ICC World T20, they can capitalise on this.

ESS senior VP production Huw Bevan says, “Sportsworkz’s service has helped us further strengthen our content offering for the wide array of programming which we are producing for our viewers”.

Times Now news editor Hector Kenneth says, “We find this service far better and far more relevant to us than a lot of other international news service providers. Sportzworkz caters to the Indian audiences and provides answers to what an Indian – anywhere in the world – maybe looking for. And to cap it all, its cheap, its fast and its easy to access. We hope and wish Sportzworkz all the best and we hope that they can take this service to the next level in the next few years”.

Sportzworkz plans on making this a permament feature and is planning to send out an annual calendar on news feeds. Sportzworkz MD Vishal Arora says, “To begin with, we would be concentrating on Indian cricket – as that’s what seems to have most news value. However, going forward, we are very keen to develop our news feeds on other sports and make this a comprehensive news service for television for channels whether they are stationed in India or abroad”.
