Vodafone Qatar to sponsor Qatar Cricket League

vodafone-qatarDOHA- The Qatar Cricket Association announced today that Vodafone Qatar will sponsor the cricket league tournament for Division A and B. The league, which started last week, has registered the participation of 34 teams.

“The Qatar Cricket Association is delighted by Vodafone’ sponsorship of the cricket league tournament. Vodafone globally is a big supporter of the world’s biggest name sports like Formula 1, Champions League Football and Cricket and I’m sure Vodafone will play a vital role in promoting cricket in Qatar,“ said MA Shahid, President of the Qatar Cricket Association.

“Whilst Vodafone globally is a big supporter of big name sports, just as important is supporting sport in the local community. We are incredibly proud of this relationship and look forward to seeing the game of cricket thrive in Qatar,” said Grahame Maher, CEO, Vodafone Qatar.

All league games are played at the West Bay cricket grounds.
