Soccerex are delighted to announce that the Chairman of the European Club Association (ECA) and FC Bayern Munich will join other industry heavyweights at the Soccerex European Forum (2-3 March, Manchester). He will lead the European Club Association’s press conference announcing the outcomes of its General Assembly, hosted in Manchester over March 1-2.
This press conference is the perfect opportunity for Soccerex delegates and accredited press to hear the ECA’s thoughts on the most pertinent issues affecting the world of football. Karl-Heinz Rummenigge will be joined on stage by the ECA General Secretary Michele Centenaro and other Executive Board Members to unveil their association’s plans.

England 2018 has signed a deal with Soccerex to sponsor the VIP reception on the first day of the Soccerex European Forum (2-3 March, Manchester). This networking evening will offer Soccerex delegates and accredited press the chance to discuss England’s progress with senior members of the bid team and its ambassadors.
England’s World Cup bid team were out in force at last year’s Soccerex Global Convention in Johannesburg and met with FIFA Executive Members such as Amos Adamu. Bid Chief Executive, Andy Anson said: “this forum provides another opportunity to present our bid to a prestigious gathering of football industry executives from around the world. We’re looking forward to being in Manchester next month”.

In just over three weeks’ time hundreds of senior football industry stakeholders will convene at the Soccerex European Forum (2-3 March) in Manchester. A record number of clubs will join hundreds of other industry stakeholders at the Soccerex European Forum (2-3 March, Manchester). To date Soccerex has confirmed the participation of all twenty Premier League teams; thirty-one Coca-Cola Football League clubs and fifty mainland European football clubs will be present throughout the event.

Ernesto Paolillo (Managing Director, FC Internazionale Milano) will join Ivan Gazidis (CEO, Arsenal FC) to tackle the topical issue of football finance within the European game. Both speakers are highly respected in their fields and will speak with authority on how their clubs are financed and the impact UEFA’s financial fair play initiative will have on the football industry.
A recent study by Europe’s governing body on club finances prompted Gianni Infantino (General Secretary, UEFA) to reveal that he is concerned about the sustainability of the game. He commented: “We survey more than 650 clubs all over Europe, and found that 50 per cent of those clubs are making losses every year, and 20 per cent of them are making huge losses, spending 120 per cent of their revenue every year.”
